Corsair® Force Series Solid-State Drives
Corsair frigav officielt deres nye serie af SSD drev sidste uge før Cebit messen, men det ser ud til at den populære producent havde endnu et kort oppe i ærmet som er blevet smidt på bordet her midt i Cebit messen.
Force Series SSD drevet er baseret på den ultra populære Sandforce SF-1200 SSD processor der giver skyhøje tal på både læse og skrive siden, men det betyder også at prisen for drevet ryger op i den ekstremt høje skala set i forhold til markedet generelt.
Force Series SSD drevet kommer i en 100GB og 200GB udgave med op til 280MB/s læse og 260MB/s skrive hastighed der må siges at være det ultimative i disse tider hvor SSD generationen gennemgår sin nok største udvikling hvad angår performance i forhold til prisen.
Corsair oplyser ikke hvornår Force Series SSD drevene er klar til markedet og de kommer heller ikke med pris strukturen for de 2 hurtige drev.
Hannover, Germany, March 4, 2010 — Corsair, a worldwide leader in high-performance computer and flash memory products, today announced the Force Series of SSDs, providing outstanding SATA II performance based on innovative SSD Processor technology from SandForce Inc.
By utilizing the state-of-the-art SandForce SF-1200 SSD processor combined with MLC flash memory, the Corsair Force Series of solid-state drives deliver outstanding performance figures of up to 280MB/sec read and 260MB/sec write. In addition, these drives feature class-leading random read/write performance. The highly innovative SandForce DuraClass™ Technology also delivers unparalleled write endurance and error correction features.

The Force Series of SSDs are available in capacities of 100GB and 200GB and support the TRIM command in Windows® 7, which helps to maintain optimal performance over the drive’s lifetime.
