Nu lader det til at Google også vil være med i hele "App/Web store" delen, og det gør de ved at have annonceret "Google Web store".
Det intressante er at de vil tibyde at Apps. kan køres "in browser" vha. HTML5 og skal ikke være så hametisk lukket som Appel, og derfor vil apps. kunne køres i de mest gængsens browsers.

Dette demonstere Google ved at spille "LEGO Star Wars" inden i "Google Chrome" browsren, samt vise Web store interfacet.
